At Soul Of Africa Lodge guests can experience the wonders of nature first hand on an open vehicle game drive. The big five are approximately 30 km’s away. Soul of Africa offers a small restaurant and conference facility and prides itself on its exquisite cuisine, outstanding accommodation and friendly personal service.
Soul of Africa is home to leopard, buffalo, serval cat, brown hyena, giraffe, kudu, impala, blue wildebeest, nyala, zebra, waterbuck, mountain reedbuck, klipspringer, duiker, steenbuck, buffalo, ostrich and sable antelope as well. Game and ample bird-life can be viewed while sipping cocktails in the beautiful swimming pool, or while enjoying a braai with friends at the lodge’s braai-area, both overlooking the scenic bushveld environment and Waterberg mountains.
Our restaurant chef will make sure you are never left hungry. Our catering emphasis is on traditional South African food, and our friendly and qualified waitresses will see to your every need.
We also cater for small weddings, conferences and birthday parties.

Hiking and Game Walks
Soul of Africa is classified as a Safe Game Reserve that means that no dangerous animals reside on the reserve and guests are free to bring their own mountain bikes and explore the walking trails either on foot or on a bike with our qualified tracker. Hiking can be arranged with our resident game ranger.

Soul of Africa can boast that within a radius of 55 km, we have three golf courses right in the middle of the bushveld surrounded by game. Rooiberg 25 km, Zabula 55km, and Thabazimbi 25km.
Come prepared to see a fantastic array of bird-life as you enjoy a meal on our restaurant deck. 280 species of birds have been identified. This is a birdwatcher’s dream destination.
The pool hanging over a cliff overlooking the waterhole is just the place for you to laze away, enjoying the sunshine while sipping on a beverage of your choice and watch the game coming to quench their thirst at the waterhole.
Weather and Topography
Soul of Africa is situated on 1200 hectors of the most beautiful and diverse thornbush near Thabazimbi in the North-West of South Africa – the Limpopo Province.
Vast, peaceful and incredibly fascinating, we are nestled in the heart of the Waterberg Biosphere.
Soul of Africa is surrounded by – and has a breathtaking view of the mountains. This is a malaria-free area and being only two hours away from Pretoria, you can come and hideaway in the Soul of the African continent.
We have some of the most extensive variety of flora, with Marula, Leadwood, Wild Fig, Acacia and many more.
We experience a hot summer between November and March, which makes our pool a favourite with our guests. Winters are mostly warm during the day and cool off at night. September is our driest month, as the bushveld lies awaiting the first summer rains, to awake into a paradise.
